I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Anna Perrone, in July last year and was not able to be seen until February of this year. In late January, I was then notified that she would not be in the office and that her next available appointment would be in May, which would require additional months waiting. Despite the significant delays, I kept the May appointment since she came recommended by a family member. On the day of my first visit, I received an unexpected call from my child’s school requiring immediate pickup due to illness. As a result, I called the office as soon as I was able to reschedule. I was informed by the receptionist that new patients are only given “one chance” to schedule an appointment with this provider. Given the extended wait times and prior rescheduling initiated by the office, I found this policy to be extremely disappointing and surprisingly insensitive. While I understand that practices have policies and schedules can be unpredictable, the lack of consideration in handling this situation was genuinely hard to accept. I hope this feedback is helpful for others considering this provider, particularly those trying to establish new patient care, as this experience set the tone for how little consideration patients may receive in this office.
Always count on staff and Dr. Perrone, on time, thorough and always time for questions.
